RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) ??A Fundraiser was held on Sunday for the owner of a West Street Market restaurant, Niko?s Greek Kitchen.
Reno restaurateur Niko Theologitis, who opened the first and longest standing establishment in West Street Market in 2009, Niko's Greek Kitchen, was recently diagnosed with aggressive bone cancer. With few options left, Niko is entering his second round of chemotherapy. To continue to run the Greek restaurant and cover medical bills, The Reno Riverwalk Merchants Association and several downtown businesses have banded together to support their friend and neighbor during his time of need.
On July 21, Campo, Reno eNVy, Sierra Tap House, Java Jungle, Jungle Vino, Wild River Grille and Z-Pie will donate 10% of the day's sales to help save Niko. A silent auction, raffle and cocktails at Se7en On West will take place from 3-5 p.m. In addition, West Street Market's Bowl restaurant?will offer?a Greek-themed dinner from 5-9 p.m., with all proceeds going directly to Niko.
