Fitness Articles: How To Build Muscle: 3 Tips To Increase Muscle ...

In the fitness world building muscle is one of the biggest goals for many people, but for most they never achieve there goal(s) or they end up plateauing long before reaching them. The good news is that any normal fully functional person can build muscle and lose weight. If you have a medical issue or health problem is the only thing other than yourself.

A person's genes or "body type" plays absolutely no role on what you have to look like! So don't let people brainwash you into believing you can't help the way your built. There is many people including myself that can back this up as well! What it comes down to is simply making the right choices and knowing what you want and most importantly... How to achieve them.

Muscle Building Tip 1: Breaking Down Muscle Tissue Correctly? ?

There are several things that must happen for your body to burn off fat and build muscle and the first one is that you must give it a reason to do it. Simply wanting it to happens isn't good enough. You must physically give it a solid reason why it needs to increase your strength and muscle size!

So the first step is breaking down the muscle tissue (via working out or some other healthy activity) and give it the nutrients it needs to build back bigger and stronger. In order to do this you must push your boundaries and lift heavier and harder as your body gets stronger.

If you continue to lift around the same intensity with the same weight or not being intense enough will not get you any results after a certain point. Remember in order to continue to build your body's newly built muscle tissue you must give more of a shock to and break it down which can't be done with weight or reps/sets it is already used to. That's why your body gets bigger and stronger so you have to keep it pushing to keep the results coming. What was heavy a month ago won't be as heavy the next month so follow the saying "go heavy or go home!".

Muscle Building Tip 2: Focus more on TUT (Time Under Tension) Than Just The Number of Reps

Having a goal for the number of reps you want to reach is good but is not the only thing you should focusing on. Think about it this way... Doing a quick set of 8 reps in under 10 seconds may be challenging but doesn't compare to doing even 6 reps of the same weight for 15 or more seconds. If you've every tried this you know what I mean. If you haven't you should defiantly try a set or two and see how much more challenging it is.

When I'm working out I know when I'm ready to up the weight another 5 pound when I can do 5 to 6 sets of 6 to 8 reps slow without having to dig all the way down to lift it.?

Muscle Building Tip 3: Don't Just Live Healthy Live a Healthy Lifestyle!

Most people have a few healthy habits or they workout some or eat healthy some of the time but that doesn't mean your living a healthy lifestyle. Eating right and working out should be done regularly but you should also be doing more than just that alone. Going for walks, hikes, playing a sport, doing a fun hobby. All of these things you should be doing if only for 30 minutes a few times a week.

Being healthy shouldn't just be a workout and a few meals make it more even if your just going for a walk in the park, a bike ride through a trail, or a swim on the beach. Find activities you enjoy and incorporate them into a lifestyle that is healthy and fun.?
